This volume contains two documents.  First, the diary of John Bodman, detailing the beginnings of the meeting in Quemerford, England in 1860 and its subsequent history until the 1890s.  It includes details of the Annual Quemerford meetings at which J B Stoney gave many addresses, together with his classic letter to the 1896 meeting which he was too ill to attend and the address F E Raven gave in response.  The Diary is preceded by a history of John’s early life.

The second document is the diary of the World War Two experiences of a group of young brothers from a New Zealand Ambulance Corp as they followed the retreating German army through Italy.  (283 pages).

Book 6 – Contains:

This book contains instructive letters by J B Stoney, George Heney and H D’Arcy Champney on issues of importance, together with C A Coates father’s feeling account of his separation from other believers, and the detailed account of the last fortnight of J N Darby’s life.  Also included are “Early Days”, showing the emergence of exercise among many about the state of Christendom in the early 19th century, and “Literature and Mission”, showing how the stature of the teaching of such exercised men had grown in fifty years.

Book 7 – Contains:

A valuable letter of Mr. C H Mackintosh outlining the first 50 years of the recovery of precious Christian truths in the early 19th century. Mr. Trotter’s exhaustive account of the sorrowful events of Plymouth and Bethesda follows as a sequential part of this early history.  Accounts of more sorrowful events in 1970 and 1972 are included as a record of how far saints can stray from the truth if the Lord ceases to be our object.  Various other short papers of interest complete the volume among which is an affecting wartime diary of a young man learning how God can bring us through difficult exercises in spite of our lack of faith.
